At Principal Financial Group, I played a key role in modernizing essential user-facing webpages by migrating them to React. This initiative not only improved the user experience but also significantly reduced technical debt and enhanced long-term maintainability. I also led research and system design initiatives within Salesforce to tackle complex, open-ended business challenges. Most notably I streamlined and automated workflows for contract sales cases. Additionally, I developed a scalable data-processing system using AWS Lambda and Python, which now powers Principal’s Qualified Student Loan Payment Match Program. This solution ensures efficient, reliable, and secure data handling at scale.

I worked closely with a development team to maintain and enhance the Fuel Saver & Rewards Program in a full-stack role, using React, Next.js, and Node.js. My contributions included implementing new features for both internal and external APIs, which directly supported key functionality across the app and website. I also helped analyze project requirements, translating them into organized tasks and team objectives to ensure efficient and aligned development efforts.

I developed and maintained university department webpages using PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and the Zend Framework, delivering robust and efficient web solutions tailored to departmental needs. In addition to technical work, I created and updated tutorials for new employees, improving onboarding materials to align with current best practices and streamline the training process.

I assisted in teaching and facilitating the Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming course by leading lab sessions, grading assignments, and supporting students in understanding core programming concepts and principles.
